Despite the high engine power offered by the 911 Turbo 3.0, many customers wanted an even more powerful 911 sports car. Porsche responded and developed a more powerful vehicle based on the first Turbo in 1977. Called the 911 Turbo 3.3, the new car produced 221 kW (300 hp) at an engine speed of 5500 rpm.
